From: Mike Vullo (mikev@COLOR2000.COM) hi folks, last night was amazing.(for all those who were there,i was the one in horn-rimmed glasses holding a tape recorder in their faces)they were supposed to play at a record store called mod lang, but too many people wanted to see them(!) so they moved to an outdoor-type patio setting.(also for all those interested, jonny and colin from radiohead were there(i also saw them in the train station on the way home)).there was a pretty big crowd, surprisingly.i know when i mention tfc to people, they don't have a clue who i'm talking about. i was sitting right in front of raymond and he plays VERY loud.everyone in the band agrees with me.the set was as follows:ain't that enough/i don't care/start again/mellow doubt/keep you a diamond(?)(the bevis frond)/going places/ sparky's dream/i heard you looking(yo la tengo)/don't look back/feel a whole lot better(byrds) at one point, someone gave norman a bottle of scottish wine and he passed it around,so some of us had a drink with the band.i had met tfc on a few occasions and when i first got to the show, norman gave me a nod,so i went over and asked if i could ask the band some questions to post on this list, and he said sure.(i must say,i felt like a dork doing this, but i listened to the tape on the way home, and i was really glad i did it).(it's also nice to know that norm recognized me!)he didn't know about the list so i gave him the address and he said he look in and maybe say a word or two.the best thing(next to the music)about tfc is that they're very nice and easy to meet and eager to please their fans.i'm sure i annoyed them at some point but they didn't let on.at the end of the show, norman motioned to me that i could start asking some questions.that will be in part 2 of this post. ---- norman also says that they're getting a computer from columbia,so he might do some reporting(and quick cam pictures)from the tour.he also says they're setting up a websight with columbia.now the questions.the first one i spoke to was raymond.
